Fractional RF Micro Needling

Fractional FR Ablative Skin Resurfacing

Fractional RF Micro Needling and Ablative Skin Resurfacing are non-surgical treatments that create micro perforations in the skin, causing trauma in the dermis. When the dermis experiences trauma, the skin goes into repair mode, stimulating new collagen and elastin, which helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, stretchmarks, skin texture, tone and creates a smoother appearance to the skin. The RF energy omits heat that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin, to create maximum stimulation within these deeper layers with minimal impact on the top layers of the skin, allowing us to deliver high impact treatments with minimal downtime.

What can I expect?

Fractional RF Micro Needing makes tiny punctures into the skin, transmitting RF energy to multi-level dermis layers under controlled depth 0-3.55mm. During this procedure you will feel heat and pressure on the treatment area. The discomfort associated with RF Micro Needling may be more than traditional needling, however, is well tolerated by most. Numbing is also included prior to the treatment. Immediately after treatment the skin will appear flushed and there will be warmth in the treated area, however this will settle within 4-6 hours. RF Micro Needling has a minimal epidermal effect and optimised dermal impact, thus accelerating healing and shortening recovery time.

Fractional RF Ablation is somewhat more invasive than RF Micro Needling, both treatments utilise RF energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production.  RF ablation differs from RF Micro Needling by working to resurface the epidermis, with minimal epidermal damage. RF ablation is highly effective in addressing skin concerns such as scarring, active acne, uneven skin tone and texture as well as enlarged pores. Numbing used to ensure client comfort, however some clients may experience minimal discomfort. The skin in the area may appear red and potentially slightly swollen in some areas. This will subside over a few hours, however swelling and redness may persist for a few more days.
