Wrinkle Treatments

Ageing might be inevitable, but that doesn’t mean you can’t minimise the visible signs of ageing. These medical treatments are performed by a Doctor or Registered Nurse.  Our clinic can offer you a consultation to discuss options available to address dynamic and static lines (wrinkles).

When treating the targeted muscles, the products work by temporarily obstructing nerve signals to the muscle. This controlled weakening reduces muscle movement, causing wrinkles to soften and smooth, whilst also helping to delay the appearance of new wrinkles forming. Your face will be left looking smoother, refreshed and rejuvenated.  

Targeted Areas

Most common areas are frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, and smoker’s lines. Other concerns that can also be addressed are underarms to reduce excessive sweating, migraines and jaw clenching.

What can I expect?

Some of these treatments can be administered within a 30 minute time frame, meaning that they can fit perfectly into your lunch break. Results from these procedures can be seen anywhere between 2-12 days, with optimum results expected by day 14. 

Wrinkle treatments have fabulous longevity, roughly lasting between 3-5 months (this can, however, vary from person to person).  They’re not permanent, so there’s no need to worry if you decide that this treatment isn’t for you. To continue seeing great results, we recommend regular treatments every few months.

Post Treatment

You must remain upright for 4 hours following the treatment, and it’s important that you don’t engage in any strenuous exercise or make any rubbing or vigorous motions for 48 hours post treatment. 

Pain relief may be taken post procedure (avoiding anti-inflammatories such as aspirin and ibuprofen), and avoiding any alcohol for 24 hours, as it can increase your chances of bruising. 

As with most cosmetic procedures, women who are currently pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive should avoid this treatment. You will receive a complimentary consultation with a registered nurse and doctor before any treatment is provided, which will include a discussion about your present and past medical history.
